Ralph W. Schumacher 91, Wausau, died Monday, November 24, 2008 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born August 1, 1917 in Wausau. On September 20, 1958 he married Blanche (Moate) McEwen in Wausau. She preceded him in death on August 29, 2006. Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Survivors include his step-daughter, Elaine (Don) Hlava, Lufkin, Texas; step-grandchildren, Debra (Don) Riedy, Texas, Hal Hlava, Cali., Mark (Margaret) Hlava, Rothschild and Dawn Hlava, Wausau; nephews, Patrick (Sharyn) Juneau, Marshfield and Michael (Mary) Juneau, New Berlin, other relatives, friends and his four legged companion, Rowdy. Besides his parents and wife, Blanche, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Harold Juneau. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
