Ralph H. LePage
86, a former Wausau resident, died Saturday February 8, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1916 in Green Bay, son of the late John and Deola (Huntington) LePage. On May 13, 1939 he married Marcella Simonet in Green Bay. She preceded him on death January 10, 1998.
Ralph had been employed for 40 years with the Milwaukee Road Railroad prior to his retirement.
An avid Packer fan, Ralph's strong loyalty to the team began as a youth in Green Bay. There, he helped sell peanuts at the old Packer stadium and as a reward was often allowed to sit on the players bench. He enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and also enjoyed camping and traveling to Florida in retirement years.
Survivors include four children, James (Barb) LePage, Green Bay and Florida; Carol (Andy) Kavajecz, Edgar; Larry (Mary) LePage, Green Bay and Janice (Paul) Krautkramer, Marathon, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine LaViolette.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 11, 2003 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
