Phyllis Zilisch,
82, 1950 Kowalski Road, Mosinee, died Friday, January 14, 2005 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Schofield.
She was born May 3, 1922 in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Selma (Raduechel) Meilahn. On June 28, 1941, she married David Zilisch in Dubuque, Iowa. He survives.
She was employed at Easton Elementary School in food service. Among her many interests, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, bird watching, flowers and Amish quilts. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mosinee.
Survivors include her husband, David Zilisch, Mosinee; her son, Jeffery (Judy) Zilisch, Ringle; three grandchildren, Joe (Sara) Zilisch, Schofield, Jarrod (Lisa Marquardt) Zilisch, Ringle and Jamie (Mark) Jaeger, Wausau; four great-grandchildren, Carissa, Anna Jo, Jeremy and Ryan; one brother, David "Bud" (Marie) Meilahn, Wausau; one sister, Mabel (Dale) Lee, Wausau; one brother-in-law, Charles Hiar, Ringle; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jenean Hiar.
The funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2005 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mosinee. Rev. Frank Conner will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. Monday until time of services all at the church in Mosinee. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
