Phyllis C. Wielock

Phyllis C. Wielock, 80, town of Cassel, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, under the care of Aseracare Hospice. She was born September 28, 1935 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Alex and Clara (Szymanski) Lepak. On November 13, 1954, she married George Wielock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. He survives. Phyllis enjoyed being a homemaker and stay at home mother. Among some of her favorite pastimes around the homestead was gardening, tending to her flowers, picking berries and tending to her many animals, especially her dog "Bo". She was also very good at crocheting and made many different items for family and friends. For many years, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she enjoyed teaching CCD classes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonny Rajek; and four brothers, Alex, Stanley, Leander and Joe Lepak. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, George Wielock, town of Cassel; five children, Shirley (David) Grant, Mesa, Ariz., Laurie (Gene) Tieman, Edgar, Lynn (Anthony) Oechsner, Lomira, Greg (Sandy) Wielock, Wausau and Karen (Wayne) Rajek, Wausau; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Harriet (Roger) Lemanski, Marathon, Duane Lepak, Milwaukee and Lynus (Sandy) Lepak, Belgium; Bonny's former husband, LaVern Pestka, Mosinee and her second husband, Robert "Butch" Rajek Jr., Cornell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends further survive. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. Rev. Felix Tigoy will preside. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aseracare Hospice and the staff at Wausau Manor, especially Shentreda, Elia and Shannon, for the exceptional care and support given to Phyllis during her stay.
