Phyllis E. Stubinski
88, Wausau, died Monday, April 17, 2006 at North Central Health Care Facilities, Wausau.
She was born December 31, 1917 in Bevent, daughter of the late Telesfore and Victoria (Kulakowski) Wiskowski. On September 3, 1938, she married Joseph Stubinski at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2004.
She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Rita Circle of St. Catherine Council. Among her many interests, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, card playing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Wayne Stubinski, Wildomar, Cal., Rodney (Mary) Stubinski, St. Louis, Mo. and Joan (Mark) Buntin, Wausau; nine grandchildren, Tom (Angela), Tami, Andrew, Dan, Alicia (Zak), Megan, Nathan, Shanna and Bryce; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Walters, Wausau.
Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Mary, Chet, Blanche, Casey, Joseph, Edward and Steve.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
