Phyllis Mae Corda

Phyllis M. Corda 72, Wausau, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010, at Wausau Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born December 16, 1937 in Wausau, daughter of the late Harold and Theodora (Golla) Elson. On November 30, 1963 she married James "Jim" G. Corda at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He passed away July 16, 2010. When living in Merrill, Phyllis was employed at various manufacturing operations in the area working on the assembly lines. Her pastimes included sewing, gardening, painting and traveling. She loved baking and decorating cakes. She and her husband especially loved the companionship of their dogs. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her four children, Wendy (Scott) Fredrich, Gleason, Luke Corda, Madison, Larry (John Altenhofen) Corda, Milwaukee and Rob Corda, Wausau; five grandchildren, Breigh (Shawn) Voigt, Nathan (Jessica) Hoff, Chelsey (Darrin) Schleif, Matt Fredrich and Megan Fredrich; five great grandchildren, Ivan and Ashley Voigt, Nolan and Isabella Hoff and Rylee Fredrich; three siblings: Henrietta (Wilbur) Schultz, Merrill; Russell (Sue) Elson, Tucson, AZ and LaVern Elson, Wausau; one brother-in-law Wilbur Schuster, Rib Mountain and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James and two sisters: Delores Jonas and Myra Schuster Committal services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Restlawn Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
