Phyllis E. Burgoyne

Phyllis E. Burgoyne 68, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born September 20, 1937 in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Anton and Gertrude (Koback) Engman. On February 19, 1955, she married Lloyd Burgoyne at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. He survives. Phyllis was a staff coordinator for the former Wausau Hospital for 27 years. Besides knitting, embroidering, and attending her flower garden, Phyllis enjoyed going to the casinos. Beside her husband, Lloyd, survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Mertens, Wausau; one son, Jeff (Mary Jo) Burgoyne, Hatley; two grandchildren, Jessica (John Huggenvik) Burgoyne, Jenny (Rodger) Josiger and their children, Nicholas and Ryan; one sister, Elaine Butt, Edgar; two brothers, Roger (Linda) Engman, Florida and Scott Engman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd Burgoyne Jr., two sisters, Evelyn Mischock and Angeline Engman; three brothers, Donnie, LeRoy and Anton Jr. Engman. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday at 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the UW Cancer Center, Wausau.
