Percilla M. Schubring

Percilla M. Schubring 93, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born April 7, 1910 in the town of Wausau, daughter of the late Herman and Amelia (Juedes) Ramthun. On April 22, 1932, she married Elmer Zunker. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1961. On August 2, 1966, she married Herbert Schubring at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives. Percilla was a homemaker and had also been employed at Marathon Rubber. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and handwork and loved playing cards with her many friends and family. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, which were her pride and joy. Besides her husband, Herbert, Wausau, survivors include two sons, Charles (Nancy) Zunker, Crystal Lake, Ill and Richard (Constance) Zunker, Woodinville, Wash; one step son, Larry (Marilyn) Schubring, Wausau; three grandsons, Robert Zunker, Paul (Trina) Zunker and Hans (Georgia Lee) Zunker; one granddaughter, Sandra (Brian) Brown, Milwaukee; two step grandsons, Scott (Michelle) Schubring and John (Kimberly) Schubring; one step granddaughter, Julie Schubring; seven great grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Brown, Benjamin, Megan and Hannah Zunker, Benjamin and Samuel Schubring. Besides her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, two-step brothers, two sisters and two-step sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2004 at Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Patrick McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church.
