Paul James Kennedy

Paul J. Kennedy 61, Wausau, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at his home. He was born January 3, 1947 in Marshfield, son of Everett Kennedy and the late Genevieve (Strachota) Kennedy. On May 31, 1968 he married Patricia Albrecht at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. She survives. Paul worked at Weyerhaeuser in Rothschild for more than 37 years where he performed various duties. He also served as Union Steward and a member of the Executive Board UPIU Local 319. He was an avid NASCAR fan who loved animals and spending time outdoors, especially taking care of his lawn. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, Wausau; sons, John E. (Elaine) Kennedy, Loyal and Matthew P. Kennedy, Wausau; grandchild, Jamie Lynn Kennedy, Mich.; father, Everett Kennedy, Arbor Vitae; siblings, Pat (Bob) Anker, Ind., John J. (Jean) Kennedy, Arbor Vitae, Kathy Kennedy, Minocqua, Steve Kennedy, Germantown and Barb Kennedy, Minocqua; a special aunt, Alvina Strachota, Stratford, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Restlawn Memorial Chapel, Wausau. The Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the Restlawn Memorial Chapel.
