Paul P. Firkus

Paul P. Firkus 65, 1303 Stieber Lane, Marathon, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Paul was born August 1, 1936 in Stevens Point, son of the late Paul and Margaret (Schuette) Firkus. He married Sally Johnson. She survives. He operated Paul Firkus & Son Distributorship and for the past five years, owned and operated the Burger Basket, Marathon. Survivors besides his wife, Sally; include one son, Jeffrey Firkus, Schofield; five daughters, Debbie Michalski, Wausau, Katie (Scott) Perriello, Loudon, NH, Sandra (Dean) Lee, Mosinee, Susan (James) Grisham, Ringle, Judy (Thomas) Nitschke, Wausau; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Martin (Eleanore) Firkus, Plover; two sisters, Ramona Dombrowski, Stevens Point and Lucy (Art) Wysocki, Stevens Point. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2002 at St Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Very Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
