Patty A. Gavitt, 58, Tomahawk, died Thursday October 17, 2013 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born October 31, 1954, in Wausau, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Schopf) Schifelbine. Patty married Ronald Gavitt and he preceded her in death. Through the years, she tended bar at several Wausau area bars and for nine years she owned and operated the Chatterbox Bar. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and was a great fan of NASCAR racing. Survivors include her life partner and fiancAC., Jeff Bella, Tomahawk, her siblings, Sharon Montez, San Diego, Calif., David (Barb) Schifelbine, Schofield, Susan (Frank) Imbach, Wausau, Betty Dalasta, Tigerton, Wayne Schifelbine, Belmont, New York, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Schifelbine. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 26, 2013 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Rev. Casey Schifelbine will officiate. Friends may on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the cemetery chapel. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
