Patrick S. Roach

Patrick S. "Shaun" Roach 55, Wausau, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison. He was born March 7, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa son of Hazel (Redmann) Roach, Wausau and the late Robert H. Roach. Patrick was a veteran of the United States Navy. Working as a surgical tech at the Mayo Clinic, in his spare time he enjoyed traveling and field training dogs. An avid bird hunter and fisherman, he was a longstanding member of both Ducks Unlimited and the Ruffed Grouse Society. Survivors include his mother Hazel, Wausau, daughter, Rory (Randall) Gwin, Minnesota, three sisters, Kathie (Louie) Reissmann, Merrill, Patty (John) Pagel, Wausau and Mary (Ron) Osheim, Wausau; two nieces, Shelly Johnson, Medford and Rhonda Osheim, Wausau, one nephew, Shaun Cumber, Wausau, more like a brother than friend, Dave Kolbert and many other relatives and friends. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Hazel Redmann and uncle Ernest Redmann. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will officiate. Burial will be in Athens Village Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Athens funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
