Patricia E. Lang

Patricia E. Lang, 92, Wausau, died Monday July 28, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born December 4, 1921, in the town of Emmet, daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Kurtzweil) Maguire. On August 25, 1943, she married Frederick A. Lang in Portsmouth, Virginia. He survives. Prior to her retirement, Patricia was a school teacher. She was a charter member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, and a member of their Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Catholic Women's Club. Patricia volunteered at Wausau Manor Nursing Home for many years and had served as a Cub Scout leader. Her favorite things to do were playing Scrabble with family, playing bridge with friends, and baking pies. Survivors include her husband, Frederick A. Lang, Wausau, five children, Alan (Charlene Palmer) Lang, Salt Lake City, Utah, Stephen (Mary) Lang, Madison, Jeffrey (Cathy Dietrick) Lang, Hales Corners, Roger (Susan) Lang, Wausau and Melanie (David) Coulthurst, Wausau, a daughter-in-law, Maureen Lang, South Milwaukee and a son-in-law, Randal Keen, Wausau; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Phyllis Hoehn, Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Faith Pinho, Pontiac, Michigan, and Edith (Deke) Weigel, Stratford. Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, David Lang, a granddaughter, Kathleen Lang, two brothers, Jack and Carrol Maguire and a sister, Jane Dahlbacka. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday July 31, 2014 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
