Patricia "Pat" F. Drewek

Patricia F. Drewek, 77, Wausau, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 31, 2015 at Wausau Manor. Pat was born July 4, 1937, in Athens, daughter of the late Leo and Marion (Lewandowski) Drewek. Pat grew up in Milwaukee and was a 1955 graduate of Divine Savior High School in Milwaukee. She was employed by the Athens School District as an Administrative Secretary for 30 years. Pat treasured her family and especially enjoyed spending time going to her grandchildren's activities; such as sporting events and music events. She also enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, and traveling with friends and family. She was passionate about volunteering. For 21 years, she volunteered for more than 11, 000 hours of service within the Aspirus health organization that included Wausau Hospital where she could be seen at the halls of the hospital with the bingo cart and comfort cart; Volunteer office; Lifeline; Health Foundation; Hospice; Women's Health; and also Pine Ridge Surgical. When asked about her volunteer position she stated, "I love visiting with the patients and seeing the very sick people get well through excellent care". Survivors include her son, Eric and wife Cindy; two granddaughters, Breanna Drewek and Mikala Drewek; grandson, Terrell Drewek. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Church of St. Anne, 700 West Bridge Street, Wausau. The Rev. Matthew Marshall will preside. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. Following the service there will be a meal served.
