Patricia B. Deluca

Patricia "Pat" B. DeLuca, 77, Wausau died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born March 1, 1938 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Joseph and Delphine (Strasser) Trawicki. In 1986 she married John DeLuca in California and he preceded her in death in 1990. Pat's family moved to the Edgar area in 1944. She attended St. John's Grade School and the Edgar High School. She was involved in many activities. After High School she attended St. Mary's School of nursing in Wausau. Pat worked at St. Mary's Hospital before moving to Milwaukee where she also worked at a hospital. In 1965 she moved to Arleta, California where she met her future husband, Johny. Here she worked as a nurse in a hospital and at the Red Cross Blood Bank. After marriage in 1986, she worked with her husband in the bar and grill that they owned. After Johny's death in 1990 she stayed in California until 1992, then returned to the Wausau area with her dogs, Mr. Knibbles, Miss Brandy and Pasquale. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, cooking and watching cooking shows on TV. Pat was an animal lover and truly enjoyed the company of her dogs over the years. Survivors include her sister, Delores Wadzinski, Wausau, her brother, Donald (Bonnie) Trawicki, Tucson, AZ, one sister-in-law, Janet Trawicki, Edgar and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Trawicki; brother-in-law, Marvin Wadzinski; and her dogs. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic Church, Edgar or a charity of your choice. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
