Patricia A. Buchberger

Patricia A. Buchberger, 79, was born on March 31, 1937 in Wausau, to Albert and Florence (Matushak) Buchberger. She was born to eternal life on Monday, July 4, 2016. Pat graduated in the first graduating class of Newman High School in 1955. She worked at Wausau Insurance as a Budget Analyst until her retirement and was a member of the Century Club at Wausau Insurance. Among some of her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed spending her time gardening and canning. Pat is survived by three brothers, George (Mary), Thomas (Sharon) and Ronald (Richard); one sister, Christine (Steven) Smolek; three sisters-in-law, Marge, Rosemary, and Jan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Albert, David, and Gerald. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Patricia's family to be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Colonial Manor for the wonderful care and support given to Patricia over the past 6 A½ years.
