Patricia Bloomquist

Patricia (Aschebrook) Bloomquist, age 81, Wausau, returned to our Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was born January 5, 1935 in Wausau, daughter of the late Gustave and Myrtle (Kwiatkowski) Aschebrook. On April 28, 1970 she married Gerald Bloomquist in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1981. Pat was a member of the Secular Franciscans, helped at St. Anthony Retreat Center, the Jubilee House and at local nursing homes for the Republican Party voting. She was very involved in the community volunteering for numerous organizations. She is survived by her sisters Joan Damerell of Wausau, and Barbara Marschall of Merrill; her "children" nephews, James "Jay" Aschebrook of Middleton, and Johnny Aschebrook of Wausau, and niece Jean Aschebrook of Madison; her "grandchildren" Garrett Thicke, Patrick Thicke and Hunter Miller all of West Salem. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Douglas and Kenneth "Kenny" Aschebrook, sister Linda Aschebrook and niece Patricia "Jenny" (Aschebrook) Miller. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
