Otto Julius Albert Bluhm

Otto J. Bluhm 84, 118 Adolph Street, Wausau, died Thursday September 19, 2002 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born June 10, 1918 in the town of Frankfort, son of the late Henry and Cora (Scheunemann) Bluhm. On January 14, 1939 he married Myrtle Ballerstein in Wausau. She survives. Otto owned and operated Rib Mountain Box Company and later had been employed with Minnesota Mining, Marathon Rubber Corp., and Morley Murphy. Later, he bought and operated an arcade and traveled with Tip Top Shows of Waupaca until the time of his retirement. Survivors besides his wife, Myrtle Bluhm, 1240 Merrill Ave., #317, Wausau, include two daughters, Eileen (Lloyd) Grande, Rib Mountain, Ivanette 'Ivy' Clements, Merrill, one son, Gene (Judi) Bluhm, Wausau, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, five brothers, Henry (Ruth) Bluhm, Marshfield, Arthur Bluhm, Wausau, Edward (Marion) Bluhm, Milwaukee, Larry (Irene) Bluhm, Aurora, Illinois, Herbert (Donna) Bluhm, Marshfield, three sisters, Hilda (Elmer) Mueller, Abbottsford, Vye Nennig, Marshfield and Lorraine Speck, Gardner, Ill., and special friends, Myron & Virginia Busche and Orville Meurett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taine Charissa Bluhm and a sister, Esther Smalke. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday September 23, 2002 at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue and again on Monday from Noon until the time of services at the church. There will be a scripture service at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
