Norman L. Westberg
87, Wausau, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
He was born November 5, 1921 in Wausau, son of the late Charles and Anna (Gehring) Westberg. On December 16, 1939 he married Linda Tesch at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives.
Norman served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau and the Disabled American Veterans. He was the owner/operator of Westberg Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, Wausau; children, Linda (LeRoy) Deland, Weston, Judith (Fred) Waedt, Eau Claire, Betty (Wayne) Jenson, Ringle, Norman Jr. (Kathy) Westberg, Ringle, Sandra (Ron) Sodke, Wausau and Gary (Jannel) Westberg, Weston; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Orville, Melvin, Randolph, Leonard, Everett, sisters, Alice, Adeline, Thelma and Annie.
Private family services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park Chapel, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau where full military honors will be conducted by American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
