Norman L. Seymour, 76, 7804 Highway 52, Wausau, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at his home.
He was born May 27, 1927 in Wausau son of the late Herbert and Elsie (Beck) Seymour. On December 2, 1950 he married Rita Bishop in Milwaukee. She survives.
Norman retired in 1990 from Wausau Paper Mills, Brokaw. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post No. 388, Wausau.
Survivors include his wife Rita Seymour, Wausau; three sons, Michael (Diane) Seymour, Ringle, Patrick (Debbie) Seymour, Mosinee, Anthony (Lynda Ziner) Seymour, Mosinee; three daughters, Cynthia (Roger) Osterbrink, Edgar, Jeanne Seymour, Weston, Angela (Steve) George, Amarillo, Tex.; eight grandchildren, Chad Seymour, Brad Seymour, Jason Seymour, Kristina Kurth, Michelle Meurette, Michael Seymour, Amber Seymour and Leah George; two great grandchildren, Livia and Cole Seymour; one brother Donald (Ruth) Seymour, Shawano; and four sisters, Lucille (Maynard) Bedish, Eagle River, Joanne (DuWayne) Schultz, Wausau, Shirley Madden, Shawano and Darlene (Roger) Fust, Ringle. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau where full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post No. 388. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a Parish Prayer Service Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family directs memorials to the Children's Miracle Network.
