Norma A. Getchell

Norma A. Getchell, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior, June 25, 2013. She was born October 16, 1920 in Lily, Wisconsin. Norma worked and resided most of her adult life in Milwaukee where she enjoyed visiting the museum exhibits with her friend Susan. Norma was an avid sports fan and her favorite teams were the Packers, Bucks, Badgers, Brewers and she also loved to watch golf. Norma enjoyed traveling, at home and abroad. Norma enjoyed reading, doing her daily crossword puzzle and sharing stories of a different era with whoever would listen. She was strong in her Catholic faith and when healthy attended church daily. Norma will be remembered as a very loving person who accepted everyone she met. Her heart was huge and she left a larger impression in the hearts of others. She will be missed dearly by those she left behind. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. Norma is survived by her dear friends David & Debra Lutze, Justin & Heather Lutze, Robert, Rachel and Easton White, Jennifer and Serena Sparks all of Wausau, Barbara Sparks, Alberta, Ca. and her dear friend Susan Schicantek of Milwaukee. A small family service will be held at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home with burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Crandon, WI. Those close to Norma would like to extend thanks to Dr. Eric Anderson, Bernie Stremikis ANP (Aspirus Palliative Care) and the wonderful staff at Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
