Nila B. Braun 91, Athens, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Colby. Nila was born December 1, 1910 in Abbotsford, daughter George and Delia (Moore) Strebe. She married Matthias Braun in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1994. Nila was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilt making and gardening. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly (Francis) Wilger, Eugene, OR; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Jenny Lancaster, Monroe, WA. and many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.
