On February 3, 2015 as Nathalie Voeltzke peacefully sat in her recliner by the window at Benedictine. God softly called her to eternal life in heaven.
She was the first born child into the loving and caring Paul and Connie (Nowak) Slominski family on July 2, 1927.
On February 10, 1945 she married the love of her life, Eugene Voeltzke and together raised two wonderful children, Mary and Allan.
Nathalie was very active in her church, The Church of St. Anne, serving on the Hospitality Committee for the popular, "Donut Sundays", a member of Our Lady of Fatima Council and a proud 61 year charter member of the St. Anne's adult choir, which was started in 1953.
She was a very fun loving and caring person, always ready to help in times of need and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Marion) Cole, Mount Dora, Florida, one son, Allan (Millie) Voeltzke, Rothschild, four grandchildren, Kim (Tom) Jones, Mark (Jodi) Cole, Kevin Voeltzke and Sheila (Kevin) Beyer, nine great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Taylor Jones, Sara and Landon Cole, Zach and Carter Beyer, Tucker and Tyler Voeltzke and Samantha Matis. Nan is further survived by her siblings, John (Jean) Slominski, Wausau, Roger (Shirley) Slominski, Wausau, Roseann Schulz, Wausau and a sister-in-law, Diane Slominski, Boone, North Carolina as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Nan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene in 1978, her brother Aaron Slominski and her sisters, Pat Rybarczyk and Connie Weyneth and three brothers-in-law, Roy Schulz, Ron Weyneth and Franklin Rybarczyk and a nephew Randy Rybarczyk.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon, Wednesday February 11, 2015 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Allan Burkhardt will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Church of St. Anne.
