Natalie J. Streveler

April 17, 1941 — May 23, 2025

Natalie J. Streveler, 84, of Wausau, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born on April 17, 1941 in Stevens Point to the late Stanley and Heribertha (Kirsling) Worzalla.  Natalie graduated with the class of 1959 from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point and also attended UW–Stevens Point for two years. While there, she was working toward a music degree in order for her to reach her goal of becoming a band director and was an accomplished trombone player.  She met her future husband, Russell, while at UW-Stevens Point and they were later married on May 2, 1964.

Natalie then started working at the Herman Galenski Law Firm in Stevens Point. After marrying Russell, they moved out west to Clovis, New Mexico, while Russell was stationed in the US Air Force. Natalie found a job after their move at the Law Office of Rawly-David-Hammond-Murphy.  In 1967, they found themselves back in Wausau and Natalie began working at Ruder-Ware Law Firm. She retired in 2002 after 35 years working for Attorney John Michler. For many years, Russell and Natalie were snowbirds and escaped the Wisconsin winters in Sebring, Florida. She especially enjoyed crocheting dishcloths and organizing garage sales with her good friend Karen Zumann.

Survivors include her children, Ryan Streveler of Fruitport, Michigan, Mindy (Jay) Nelson of Wausau, and Megan (Matt) Lundstrom of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Emma, Mackenzie, Delaney, Brianna, and Hunter; and one great-granddaughter, Oaklynn. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Alana (Jerry) Hoddinott; sister-in-law, Pat Streveler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Streveler, in November 2004; parents, Stanley and Heribertha Worzalla; daughter-in-law, Melissa Streveler; and puppy, Mocha.

A celebration of life will be planned for late summer 2025.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
