Nancy L. Schilling 55, Wausau, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau She was born October 2, 1952 in Wausau daughter of Irene (Lepak) Knetter and the late Clarence Knetter. On November 11, 1972 she married Jerome Schilling at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. Nancy was proud to be a homemaker and have the ability to raise her two boys, Brent and Brady. Besides cooking she enjoyed being outside, especially perfecting her landscaping. Nancy was also quite creative with arts and crafts and always enjoyed the opportunity to watch her nieces and nephews, especially her God daughter Kelly Knetter. Survivors besides her husband Jerome Schilling and her two sons Brent and Brady, all of Wausau include her mother Irene Knetter, Wausau, her siblings, Thomas (Barbara) Knetter, Fond du Lac, Judith (Scott) Durand, Boulder Junction, Jerry (Laurie) Knetter, Wausau, Mark (Beth) Knetter, Wausau and Patrick (Julie) Knetter, Arbor Vitae, her father-in-law, Orville Schilling, brother-in-law, Thomas (Karen) Schilling and her sister-in-law, Betty Hoops, all of Wausau. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Knetter, her mother-in-law, Lorraine Schilling and one sister-in-law, Lois Wenzel. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2007 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all the doctors and nurses with Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, the U.W. Cancer Center, especially Dr. Gautam and Dr. Barton and everyone at Mount View Care Center for the wonderful care given to Nancy during her illness. Jerome, Brent and Brady would also like to personally thank Beth Knetter for all the love, support and compassion that she shared with the family during this time. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Nancy's name. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
