Nancy J. Benicek

Nancy J. Benicek, age 81, Wausau, died Monday, February 11, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born August 20, 1931 in Wausau, daughter of the late Frank and Linda (Steffen) Sobkowiak. On April 14, 1951 she married Joseph Benicek in Wausau. Survivors include her husband, Joseph, Wausau; three children, Cynthia (Gerald) Hall, Marathon, Kathy (Allen) Viergutz, Normal, Illinois and Malin (Celeste) Benicek, Madison; nine grandchildren, Nathan (Cindy) Hall, Luke (Janell) Hall, Sara (Tim) Lemmer, Sam (Beth) Hall, Jared Viergutz, Mike (Brooke Hartman) Viergutz, Melissa (Nathan) Prasun, Stephanie and Rachel Benicek; 12 great-grandchildren, Colton, Marcus and Kirsten Hall, Devin, Dakota and Alyssa Hall, Dawson, Carson and Stetson Lemmer, Johanna and Charlie Hall and Drake Prasun; one sister, Sandy (Jeff) Deland, Merrill and one sister-in-law, Jackie Engman, Missouri. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Engman. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Jerry Morris will officiate.
