Myrtle L. Krause

Myrtle L. Krause 75, Edgar, died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at her home. She was born January 31, 1926, Town of Emmet, daughter of the late Albert and Lilian (Leffel) Ewert. On February 10, 1945, she married Edward S. Krause in the Town of Cassel. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1994. Myrtle and her husband had a dairy and ginseng farm in the Town of Wien until the time of their retirement. She was instrumental in developing real estate lots from the family farm. Myrtle enjoyed bowling, playing cards and traveling with friends. Survivors include three daughters, Donna Krause, Wausau, Shirley (Robert) Knetter, Batavia, IL and Sally (Dennis) Miller, Milwaukee; two sons, Thomas (Mary) Krause, Marathon and Charles (Jeannine) Krause, Appleton; eight Grandchildren; two Great Grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Hilgemann, Stratford, Alice Knetter and Mae Ewert both of Rib Mountain. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Bernard Raschke will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil Tuesday evening at the Edgar funeral home.
