Myron "Mike" M. Bargender
75, 1721 Pardee St, Wausau, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1931 in Edgar, son of Amanda (Grosskreutz) Taylor and the late Frank Bargender.
Mike was the owner/operator of Bargender Masonry for over 40 years. He enjoyed working on his wood mizer, playing sheep head, watching NASCAR races and Packer games and being outdoors going hunting, fishing, four wheeling and traveling many miles on his snowmobile. Mike was a member of the Elks Lodge #248, American Legion Montgomery Post Plant #10, both of Wausau, Central Wisconsin Polka Club, Central Wisconsin Gas and Steam Engine Club and the Northern Lakes Region of Antique Car Club of America. Most of all Mike never turned down the chance to dance at a local Polka function and he always looked forward to attending his meetings with the Breakfast Club.
Mike served his country in the United States Army stateside during the Korean War.
Survivors include his mother, Amanda Taylor, Marshfield, his fiancAC., Glenda Hall, Wausau, his daughters, Christine (Jerry) Berenz, Wausau, Barbara (Scott) Krueger, Pelican Lake, Karen (Gary) Czechowicz, Wausau, one son Ronald Bargender, Wausau, seven grandchildren, Jerry (Davida) Berenz, Nichole (Shane) Saari, Lindsey (Eric) Iczkowski, Mandy (Blain Finders) Czechowicz, Steven Czechowicz, Ronald (Nicole) Bargender Jr. and Bryan Bargender, five great grandchildren, Annaleese and Cassandra Berenz, Jack and Kate Saari and Taylor Iczkowski, two brothers Edmund Bargender, California and Vincent (Marilyn) Bargender, Marshfield and one sister, Charlene (Adrian) Michlig, Marshfield.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brother Mark Bargender.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday April 30, 2007 at First English Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Jay Kamrath and Intern Scott Mann will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
