Morris A. Phillips Jr

Morris A Phillips Jr. (aka Morrie or Buster), Hatley, passed away on March 25, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 28th 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, to Morris Albert Phillips Sr. and Alice (Benson) Phillips. He graduated from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago, Illinois. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1954, serving in Korea, he is, was, and always will be a United States Marine. He married his high school sweetheart on August 27th 1955. He retired from the Wausau Post Office in 1989 and retired from the Air Force Reserve in March of 1992. In retirement he enjoyed trout fishing, volunteer work with the Forestry Service, traveling to Key West and trips to the casino.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (nee Sutcliffe) Phillips, two daughters LynnEllen Phillips and Jill Casper and a son Douglas (Linda) and one grandchild Emily. His sister Doris Piatek, (her children Frances, Paul and Carolyn) a brother William Kenneth Phillips (Hatice) his daughter Ayla. He is also survived by his most loving, faithful and loyal friend Finnegan.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Jordan will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
