Morris Allen Hills

Morris Allen Hills 74, Kronenwetter, formerly of North Fond du Lac, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born October 10, 1932 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Maurice W. and Edith Hills. Morris was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wausau. He was a journeyman machinist of 37 years for the Soo Line Railroad, until his retirement in 1993. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fretwork, golfing, bowling, gambling, playing cards, Packer and Badger football and his favorite companion dog, "Molly". Morris is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elaine Hills, Kronenwetter; three sons, Randy (Christine) Hills, Burnsville, Minn., Dan (Sue) Hills, St. Louis Park, Minn. and Dennis (Korri) Hills, West St. Paul, Minn.; one daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Kiefer, Wausau; one granddaughter, Emma Hills; two step grandchildren, Nichole and Alex Powell; two sisters, Myrna (David) Hoops, Fond du Lac and Gloria (Milt) Gessert, Florence, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Gordon and James Hills. Morris's family wishes to thank the Kronenwetter Police Department, Emergency Response Team and the medical staff at St. Clare's Hospital for their kindness and caring attitude during our family's time of need. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac. Rev. Thomas Behnke and Rev. Robert Edwards will co-officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Friends may call Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
