Monica C. Graebel

Monica C. Graebel, 95, Wausau, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 4, 1918 in town of Bradley, daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Derig) Koehler. On July 14, 1945 she married Robert Graebel in Wausau. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1976. Monica was a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in the town of Bradley as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, loved reading, and in her younger years did a lot of traveling with her sister. Survivors include her sons, Donald Graebel, Mosinee, Robert Graebel, Wausau and Gerald (Merle) Graebel, Merrill; grandchildren, Robert, Donald and Katherine; great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Marty Koehler. Besides her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl, and a sister, Phyllis. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Timothy Welles will officiate.
