Minnie L. Detert
93, Wausau, died Saturday April 26, 2003 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.
She was born October 28, 1909 in the town of Texas, daughter of the late Carl and Amelia (Imm) Henke. On May 9, 1936 she married Paul Detert in Marathon. He preceded her in death April 24, 1971.
Minnie was a homemaker and loved gardening, knitting and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Veen, South Bend, Indiana, Lorraine Duato, Reno, Nevada, three sons, Aaron (Carol) Detert, Wayne (VerJean) Detert and Robert Detert, all of Wausau, 12 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, one sister, Marie Henke, Wausau and one brother, Carl (Carol) Henke, Wausau.
Besides her husband and parents, Minnie was preceded in death by five sisters, Anna Meilahn, Bertha Henke, Ella Gassner, Lena Sullivan and Erna Erickson, and one brother, Fred Henke.
Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday May 1, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, is in charge of arrangments.
