Milton F. Kubichek
81, Weston, died Saturday September 16, 2006 at his home.
He was born August 19, 1925, in Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Jacob and Anna (Fidler) Kubichek. On January 20, 1951, he married Myrtle E. Freiboth at Grace Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps from 1943 until 1946.
In 1946, Milton began his working career with Wisconsin Fuel and Light Company in Manitowoc and transferred to Wausau in 1960. He retired in 1988 after 42 years of service with the company. Among his many involvements, he was a Charter Member of the Wausau Evening Kiwanis Club and was a Charter Member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Schofield. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and after retirement, enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Kubichek, Weston, three sons, Stephen (Barbara) Kubichek, Tomahawk, David (Debra) Kubichek, Manitowoc, Brian (Carla) Kubichek, Merrill, three daughters, Kathryn (David) Priebe, Schofield, Kristine (Jaimie Rice) Mehring, Rhinelander, Kay (Tim) Spence, Huntsville, Alabama, 15 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Lemmens.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday September 20, 2006 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Schofield. Rev. Raymond Connor and Rev. Gary Bratz will officiate. Friends may call on Weds. from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association.
