Milo E. Pyan
80, Marathon, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born August 28, 1924 in Marathon, son of the late Edward and Louise (Dahlke) Pyan. On September 15, 1945, he married Muriel Kirstein in Marathon. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2003.
Milo was employed at Marathon Elevator, Menzner Lumber, Otis Elevator, farmed in the town of Cassel and hauled milk. He then worked for Marathon Cheese for 38 years. Milo was a life long member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon , and member of Wisconsin American_Cheese Graders. He enjoyed logging, trout fishing, hunting and in his later years, watching wild turkeys, deer and birds.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (Gene) Sass, West Bend, Pamela (George) Zaboklicki, Muskego, Kay (Floyd) Enzenbach, Marathon and Joan (Greg) Gordon, Milwaukee; two sons, Terrence (Jacki) Pyan, Marathon and Charles (Lori) Pyan, Crystal Lake, Ill; 13 grandchildren, Troy (Sheila) Pyan, Michelle Pyan, Kim Schoenrock, Travis Pyan, James Gaffney, Jerry Zaboklicki, Kelly (Jon) DeLuka, Stacey (Paul) Vincent, Carl Enzenbach, Philip and Justin Gordon and Nicholas and Victoria Pyan; ten great grandchildren, Craig, Kira and Courtney Schoenrock, Zachary and Zeth Pyan, Mina Gaffney, Kirsten and Evelyn DeLuka, Jordan Michalski and Justin Vincent; three sisters, Edna Hess and Evelyn Kolasinski all of Wausau and Irene Hansel, Appleton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by Two sisters, Hattie Larson and Hilda Lodholz; four brothers, Harry, Marvin, Alvin and Edward Pyan.
The funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
There will be a 7:30 p.m. scripture service Friday evening at Marathon funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
