Mildred M. Walters

Mildred M. Walters 90, Wausau, died Monday, August 29, 2005 at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Weston. She was born November 18, 1914 in Edgar, daughter of the late Henry and Otillie (Remus) Borchardt. On June 22, 1939, she married Frank Walters at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wien. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2004. Mildred was employed for 30 years at Marathon Electric. Along with her husband, they farmed in the town of Wien for many years. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mildred was also a member of St. John Ladies Aid. Survivors include five sons, Frank (Judy) Walters, Doug (Mary) Walters and Gary (Betty) Walters all of Wausau, Greg Walters, Mayville and Ron Walters, Stevens Point; 12 grandchildren, Rick (Chris) Walters, Randy (Julia) Walters, Steve Walters, Brad (Jane) Walters, Lisa (Rob) Swan, Keith (Tammy) Walters, Rob (Amy) Walters, Renee Meyer, Tanya (Chris) Mikula, Craig (Lynn) Walters, Jeff Walters and Jessica Walters; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Alma Wettereau, Wausau; one brother, Henry (Bernie) Borchardt, Edgar. Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Carol Walters; four sisters, Olga Bauman, Esther Bauman, Ella Borchardt & Emma Bauman. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church, Co. Hwy N, Edgar. Rev. Jeff Tarras will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Wien. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
