Mildred Ida Anna Totsch

Mildred "Milly" Totsch, 94, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Evergreen Park Assisted Living, Kronenwetter, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born February 10, 1922 in the town of Easton, daughter of the late Emil and Esther (Strehlow) Zahrt. On October 22, 1949, she married Marvin Totsch in Ironwood, Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1970. Milly was a homemaker and also enjoyed working at the Holiday Inn. Among her favorite pastimes, she liked baking, vegetable gardening and canning. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Milly was deeply devoted to her religion and faith, and her family, friends and neighbors always came first in her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include, three children, Cherie (Gary) Peterson, Merrill, Lanae Domres, Rosholt and Perry Totsch, Wausau; five grandchildren, Nathan Domres, Josh (Diane) Peterson, Paul Domres, Todd Domres and Erica (Jeff) Nowak; five great-grandchildren, Gunther, Eleora, Etta, Eloise and Apollo; six siblings, Willie (Jean) Zahrt, Wausau, Addie Shelton, Arizona, Lillian Engebrecht, Wausau, Herb Zahrt, Wausau, Marion Zahrt, Wausau, and Ellie (Ed) Martin, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Wayne Domres; three siblings, Marvin and Leonard Zahrt, Vera Lehmann; and two infant siblings, Juanita and Willard. Memorial services will be at Noon on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Gary Froseth will officiate.
