Mildred L. Johnson

Mildred "Millie" L. Johnson 83, Kronenwetter, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born April 6, 1929 in Baraga, Mich., daughter of the late William and Edith (Lindblom) Beck. On December 29, 1947, she married Leo R. Johnson at Zion Lutheran Church in Baraga. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2004. Millie worked as a statistician for the former Employers Insurance Company, Wausau, until her retirement. She was involved in many church activities, enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include, three children, Ric (Shelley) Johnson, Omaha, Nebr., Kristine Johnson, Eagan, Minn. and Kathi (John) Nutting, Savage, Minn.; five grandchildren, Tim (Tiffany) Johnson, Omaha, Nebr., Eric Johnson, Omaha, Nebr., Jessica (Terrance) Golson, Omaha, Nebr., Adam (Amber) Nutting, Augusta, Ga. and Alex Nutting, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four great-grandchildren, Jack, Lily, Wyatt and Jacob; and one sister, Helga Price, Germantown, Wis. Besides her parents and husband, Leo, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Beck. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Paulette Creswell will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from Noon until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services or Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
