Michael "Mike" G. Worzella

Michael “Mike” G. Worzella, 61, Marathon passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021.

He was born August 25, 1959 in Wausau, son of the late Chester Sr. and Marie (Falkavage) Worzella.  On October 26, 1985 he married Elizabeth “Bette” Rajek at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.  She survives.

For many years Mike worked at various hotels as a maintenance director.  He also worked at various auto motive industries throughout the Wausau area.  His true passion came a little later in life.  Mike was proud to have helped raise his only grandson, and best friend, for the past year.

Some of his favorite pastimes included being an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially the Packers, listening to music and watching movies, camping and going up north, shooting at the range and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Bette Worzella, Marathon, one daughter, Marisa (Chris Harm) Worzella, Marathon, his grandson, Calum Michael, his siblings, Barb (Dan) Casper, Weston, Mary (Jack) Duffy, Weston, Anita (Dennis) Wessels, Lake Tomahawk, Gerald (Bonnie) Worzella, GA, Denise Hodgkins, Wausau, Norma (Steve) Aronson, MI, Junior (Jan) Worzella, Weston, Wayne (Pam) Worzella, WA and Jane (Ken) Shidell, Pine River and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his in laws, Harry and Marge Rajek.

A private celebration of his life will be held outdoors at a later date.
