Michael John Ringwelski

Michael “Mike” J. Ringwelski, 83, Wausau, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born March 13, 1943 in Wausau, son of the late Michael F. and Helen (Langhoff) Ringwelski.

Mike spent many enjoyable years hunting, fishing and making firewood at his cabin in Harshaw. He always knew where the secret fishing spots were. Mike was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and he made sure he got in on every pool.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all his many friends at his two favorite local pubs, Tic Toc and Chatterbox, who were there to assist him in any way.

He will be missed by his many friends and family. Mike fought a good fight and is now forever in God’s care.

Survivors include five siblings, Richard “Ringo” (Delores) Ringwelski, Wausau, MaryAnn Schmidt, Schofield, Florian “Bud” (Barb) Ringwelski, Tomahawk, Floyd Ringwelski, Wausau and BettyJane “BJ” Kimps, Harshaw; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Ringwelski, Ringle; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Nancy Wilde and Dennis Ringwelski; three brothers-in-law, David Schmidt, Dennis Kimps and Jerome “Pork” Wilde; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Ringwelski.

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, private burial will be held.
