Michael "Mike" Allan Wilde, 53, Merrill, passed away on March 26, 2026.
He was born May 5, 1972 in Wausau, son of the late Jerome and Nancy (Ringwelski) Wilde.
He graduated from Merrill Sr. High School in 1990. Mike worked the majority of his career at Walmart for 31 1/2 years followed by a few years alongside the company delivering for Walmart Spark and was loved by all that worked with him for his sense of humor and work ethic. "He was a great guy.” He was always ready for that fun sarcastic comment. He loved playing hockey and golf in his younger years and was an avid sports fan, namely football and baseball, but enjoyed following all sports and attending games.
Mike’s love for music and strong friendships took him to the annual RockFest in Cadott WI. He also was a large Merrill history buff—finding old photos and comparing them to the new one’s he would take, sharing them with the community. You can find some of his photos on the Facebook group: Merrill, Wisconsin Scrolling Down Memory Lane. Mike worked hard away from his job to give his 2 daughters, who he loved more than anything, many beautiful skating rinks as they grew up and upkept on a large above ground swimming pool in the summer.
Survivors include his daughters, Mya and Ahna Wilde, Merrill, his siblings, Gary Wilde, Weston, Brenda (Robert Sr.) McNeil, Fence, and George (Vicki) Wilde, Merrill, his former wife, Colette (Tracey) Wilde-Sawczuk, Merrill, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Nolan, his sister-in-law Dara Wilde, his parents Nancy and Jerome (Sr.) Wilde and his cat Oreo who was his best buddy.
