Michael W. Hoff Sr

Michael "Huffy" W. Hoff Sr. 51, Athens, died Monday, November 26, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born August 5, 1961 in Marshfield, son of Darlene "Dolly" (Duerr) Schreiner of Athens and the late LeRoy Hoff. On May 9, 1983, he married Joy Fliehs in Las Vegas. She survives. Michael was currently employed as a foreman with Michel's Corp. in Brownsville, Wis. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. #2150 and a member of the A & H Snowmobile Club. Michael was a good friend and always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker and was very proud of his job, his family and especially his children. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed spending time up North in Holcombe with his second family, pontoon boating, travelling, Nascar, off road racing and snowmobiling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Survivors include, his wife, Joy Hoff, Athens; four children, Cory Fliehs, Brooklyn, New York, Tanya Wesolowski, Edgar, Casey (Bert) Erickson, Tomahawk and Michael Jr. (Nikki Voigt) Hoff, Athens; one granddaughter, Gracie Erickson; his mother, Dolly (Hunce) Schreiner, Athens; one sister, Nettie (Keith) Kremsreiter, Athens; his grandmother, Ellen Duerr, Athens; 12 step brothers and sisters, Karl Schreiner, Tom (Cindy) Schreiner, Linda (Randy) Kraft, Lori (Dennis) Zetler, all of Athens, Lisa (Roger) Young, Indiana, Kurt (Renee) Schreiner, Athens, Jim (Tammy) Schreiner, Athens, Ken (Kim) Schreiner, Abbotsford, Joe (Lana)Wogernese, Abbotsford, Pat (Sarah) Schreiner, Athens, Tami Schreiner, Athens and Ryan (Sara) Kelley, Leona, Wis.; his father-in-law, Harold (Diane) Fliehs, Rib Lake; his mother-in-law, Virginia (Al) Woller, Merrill; two brothers-in-law, Todd Halopka, Dorchester and Harold Fliehs Jr., Rib Lake; three sisters-in-law, Julie (John) Lemke, Medford, Grace (Darrin) Fritsch, Westboro, Wis. and Lorie Miller, Rib Lake; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Hoff; and one sister, Linda Halopka. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
