Michael A. Hall
91, Marathon, died Saturday September 16, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1915 in the town of Cassel, son of the late Leonard and Josephine (Mucha) Hall. On September 10, 1941, he married Dorinda Dalske at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She survives.
Through the years, he had been employed at Marathon Electric, Marathon Brewery, A & P White House Milk and retired from Marathon Cheese Corporation. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Leo Court No. 795, Marathon and the Holy Name Society. Special to Mike was the time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the Brewers, Packers, playing Canasta and doing many different types of woodworking crafts.
Survivors include his wife, Dorinda, Hall, Marathon, two daughters, Joan (Michael) Crowell and Geraldine (Francis) Urmanski, all of Tomahawk, two sons, Michael (Marilyn) Hall, Marathon, Patrick (Beverly Krueger) Hall, Wausau, seven grandchildren, Paul (Bridget) Urmanski, Dean (Shelly) Urmanski, Angela (Matthew) McCabe, Michelle (Cory) Scheiderer, Michael Hall, Ashley Crowell, Zachary (Melissa Barr) Crowell; nine great grandchildren, Claire & Anne Urmanski, Max & Jack Urmanski, Katherine & Emily McCabe, Derek Scheiderer, Caleb Barr, Portia Crowell; two step grandchildren, Kelly (Richard) Sweo & Bonnie Loden; five step great grandchildren, Wade & Daniel Sweo and Cody, Will & Olivia Loden; two brothers, Wilfred (Ruth) Hall and Victor (Jeanette) Hall, all of Edgar, one sister, Marcella Thurs, Edgar and a sister-in-law, Nora Hall, Marathon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Schmidt and brothers, Julius, Leonard Jr., Alex, Walter, Arnold and an infant brother.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Weds. September 20, 2006, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Weds. from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
