Merie E. Troebs

Merie E. Troebs, 99, 400 Becker Street, Rothschild, died Monday, November 11, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. Merie was born February 26, 1903 in Fifield, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Allen and Bertha (Tessmer) Fraser. She married Kurt E. Troebs on June 22, 1936 in Bessemer, Michigan. He preceded her in death August 23, 1988. Merie was a teacher and librarian. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Chapter 75, Schofield and the Royal Neighbors, Wausau. She lived the last ten years of her life with her Nephew, Loren (Barbara) Fraser, Rothschild. Besides her nephew, Loren (Barbara) Fraser, Rothschild she is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her husband, Kurt Fraser and her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Fraser. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Lakeside II Cemetery, Phillips. The Rev. Matthew Arneson will officiate. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
