Melvin E. Novitzke

Melvin E. Novitzke, age 81, Edgar, died Wednesday, March 28, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born October 3, 1931 in the town of Emmet, son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Boehm) Novitzke. Melvin enjoyed watching television, playing cards and playing bingo. Survivors include his brothers, Joseph (Darlene) Novitzke, Minocqua, James (Dory) Novitzke, Milwaukee, and Marlin (Mary) Novitzke, Edgar; and 16 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Novitzke-Knetter. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic School, Edgar. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
