Mathilda A. Sekorski

Mathilda A. Sekorski 82, formerly of Marathon, died peacefully Sunday November 4, 2001 at Our House residential facility, Wausau. Mathilda was born July 7, 1919 in Marathon, daughter of the late William and Rosalia (Blume) Volhard. She married Alex Sekorski May 26, 1947 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death November 4, 1986. Mathilda was a homemaker and farmed with her husband, Alex, in the Marathon area for 39 years. Survivors include her children, Robert (Diane) Sekorski and Arlene Kroening, all of Wausau and Marvin (Heidi) Sekorski, Marathon, three grandchildren, Christopher Sekorski, La Crosse, and Cindy and Curt Kroening, both of Wausau, nieces, nephews and many other relatives. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Marathon funeral home.
