Mathilda Brzezinski

Mathilda Brzezinski 90, 1411 Lake Street, Wausau, died Sunday June 6, 2004 at her home. She was born November 9, 1913 in Rosholt, daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Wierzba) Glodowski. On September 25, 1937 she married Edward Brzezinski at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Rosholt. He survives. Mathilda was a member of the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus and their St. Catherine Council. She was a homemaker who loved to bake cookies, knit socks and mittens. Among her favorite things to do were gardening, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Edward Brzezinski, Wausau, ten children, Gordon (Constance) Brzezinski, Schofield, Genevieve (John) Hintz, Stevens Point, Lawrence (Winifred) Brzezinski, Schofield, Richard (Lynn) Brzezinski, Lancaster, Calif., Patricia (Roger) Zynda, Schofield, Roy (Patricia) Brzezinski, Burlington, Kathleen (John) Letarski, Ringle, Thomas (Faye) Brzezinski, Wausau, Anthony Brzezinski, Wausau and Susan (Carman) Gress, Wausau, 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Beside her parents, Mathilda was preceded in death by six grandchildren, four brothers, Joseph, Onufry, Vincent and Phillip Glodowski, four sisters, Mary Ann Landowski, Marcella Gruna, Opolonia Landowski and Regina Kostuch. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 10, 2004 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 8 p.m. at Holy Name Church. There will be visitation on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services also at the church. A parish rosary service will be Weds. 7:00 p.m. at the church.
