MaryEllen Phillips (nee Sutcliffe) went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

MaryEllen worked as a telephone operator in Chicago, Illinois and Wausau, Wisconsin. She also worked as a Home Health Aid and retired as a Rural Letter Carrier from the United States Postal Service. She was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She supported her community, taking numerous volunteer positions. MaryEllen was a faithful and resourceful wife and mother, opening her home to foster children. She loved to travel, quilt, garden, take casino trips, and shop at thrift stores. She enjoyed metal detecting for the U. S. Forest Service and recreationally, returning as many found items as she could to the original owners.  MaryEllen left a genuinely humble impression on all she met.

Private family services will take place at a later date.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.

The family is grateful for the dedicated care and loving support MaryEllen received from everyone in her years at Cedar Creek Manor.

Heaven

In heaven my soul will dance and sing praises to my Lord and King

In heaven my feet shall know the steps, my voice the songs

Because my soul to God belongs

In heaven there are no worries or woes

Only peace from our Lord flows

In heaven we will be one happy family

Of sin stress and toil, we will be free
