Maryann D. Schmidt

MaryAnn D. Schmidt 75, T626 W. Marshall Hill, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. She was born April 10, 1929 in the town of Weston, daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Thurston) Frank. On July 10, 1946 she married Kenneth Schmidt at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. MaryAnn was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, sewing, tending to her flower gardens and decorating her home for the holidays; Christmas being her favorite. MaryAnn had a special place in her heart for her cottage on Twin Lakes and the countless hours she spent fishing there with her husband, Kenneth. Above all things, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors besides her husband, Kenneth, Wausau, include her children, Kenneth Jr. (Diane) Schmidt, Wausau, Connie (Stephen), Zick, Wausau and Tammie (George) Havlovic, Irma, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four brothers, Henry (Ruthel) Frank, Brokaw, Walter Frank, Wausau, Lawrence (Lois) Frank, Ringle and Raymond (Betty) Frank, Tomahawk. Besides her parents, MaryAnn was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth Schmidt III, and her brothers and sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2005 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
