Mary Ann R. Stacke, 94, Wausau died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Harmony Living Center, Wausau. She was born July 21, 1919 in Colby, daughter of the late John and Rose (Thorn) Brill. On June 19, 1943 she married John Bailey. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1948. She then married William Stacke on October 25, 1969. He also preceded her in death on April 9, 1977. Mary Ann was a clerk at the former Emmons Book Store in Wausau for many years. She was a member of the Fatima Council at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau and was also a member of the Rosary Confraternity at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Some of her favorite hobbies included biking, playing cards, tending to her flower beds and gardening. Survivors include her son, Dick (Jean) Bailey, Rothschild, three grandchildren, JoAnne (David) Fraedrich, town of Easton, Angela (Mark) Dentler, Merrill and Jeffrey Bailey, Rothschild, three great grandchildren and one sister, Delores (Ray) Kiefer, Abbotsford. Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one brother, John Brill and two sisters, Leona Brill and Betty Hassel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Alan T. Burkhardt will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
