Mary Ann Schubert
73, 115 Bluestone Drive, Wausau died Sunday, August 24, 2008 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home.
She was born December 19, 1934 in Belgium, daughter of the late George and Mae (Krueger) Liesch. On June 16, 1956 she married Ronald Schubert in Port Washington. He survives.
Mary Ann was a Business Education teacher for a total of 16 years at Fond du Lac, Glenwood City, Menomonie, and Wausau East and West High Schools. She received a bachelor's degree from U. W. Whitewater and a Masters degree from U. W. Eau Claire. After her career in public education she continued teaching Word Processing to office personnel in the private sector. Mary Ann enjoyed years of playing social golf and the friendship of her playing partners at Greenwood Hills Country Club. She most enjoyed socializing with special friends and a good party as characterized by her personal license plate "LETR SNP".
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Schubert, Wausau, one sister-in-law, Patricia (Dean) Pierringer, Vista Valley, California and one brother-in-law, Roger Kaufman, Fond du Lac, along with many special friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Burt Liesch and one sister, Betty Kaufman.
A celebration of Mary Ann's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Greenwood Hills Country Club, 2002 Poplar Lane, Wausau. Private entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services all at the Greenwood Hills Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
